Tiny Tush Celebrates 10 Years In Business

Tiny Tush Celebrates 10 Years In Business

Tiny Tush celebrates 10 years in business –

A decade of educating parents to the benefits (and joys!) of using cloth diapers

10 years. TEN years. A decade.

There are quite a few ways to write this – but the fact remains that I am very proud that Tiny Tush has now hit the ten year milestone. I want to pause for a few moments and reflect on all the great things that have happened during this time.

If any of you know me, whether by reading my blog, perusing my website, connecting with me via social media, or meeting me in person – the one thing you hopefully know and understand is my and my family’s passion for what we do – and for all that Tiny Tush stands for.

We have grown so much over the years, but the core of what our focus is has not wavered. We strive to not only be an excellent designer, manufacturer, wholesaler and retailer of cloth diapers and natural baby products, but we aim to also help parents and families learn about cloth diapering and understand how it works….and all the extra benefits that one experiences when using cloth (such as the environmental, health and financial benefits, just to name a few! Not familiar with these? Click here for more!

Something that is unique about our company is the way we always strive to find solutions to make lives of parents better, and to help make lifestyle choices – like cloth diapering – work for families who have made a choice. We have followed this course for 10 years.

One of the things of which I am most proud is that Tiny Tush is a leader in developing the “one size” cloth diaper that really, REALLY works and (literally) expands to fit as your baby grows. This is a product innovation that has brought cloth diapers into a new realm. Our one size diaper has gone where cloth diapers had not been able to go in earlier years (we remind people who are new to cloth diapering in this century, “this isn’t your grandmother’s cloth diaper!”). The one size diaper makes cloth so much more affordable for families….and we want to ensure access to cloth diapers for everyone who would like to go this route.

So to summarize the past ten years of amazing progress, let’s ask the question: What is Tiny Tush?

Tiny Tush is a labor of love. We are a family owned business. We are passionate about our products, our customers, and our retailers. We want to help educate and inform people about the products we offer, and help them determine if the choice of cloth is right for them. We have been recognized as the “one size” diaper experts for some time now, and that is something that I makes me feel very honored.

And to speak at an even higher (and more abstract!) level, we aim to help change lives for the better, and help the world in any positive way we can.

Last, but certainly not least, we simply love babies.

The ideas above have carried us very well through the last decade, and will continue to be our beacon as we move forward into our next 10 years of working with parents and families.

Some things never change…..they just get better.

Our gallery of photos that shows how we have evolved and grown!!

Retailer Chat Tuesday: My Baby First, LLC

Q&A With a Tiny Tush Retailer My Baby First

Q&A With a Tiny Tush Retailer My Baby First

1. What is the name of your store and how long have you been in business?
My Baby First, LLC was established in 2007.

2. How did you choose the name of your store?
I recently purchased the online store with its current name. I’m excited that it will allow me to make available more than baby cloth diapers; I have a passion for disease and toxin prevention (I’m a registered nurse and grew up on a dairy farm, so the environment and natural products are very dear to me) and feel that it’s a dutiful responsibility of mine to help educate, and make products available to others.

3. Why did you decide to carry Tiny Tush products?
Tiny Tush is one of my 2 personal favorites that I use on my baby! They are extremely absorbent, adorable, and the company has been very responsive to all my questions while becoming the new owner of the company. (Thank you for that!)

4. If you were a Tiny Tush Elite 1.1 diaper, what color would you be and why?
I would be color of a sunrise – Red fading to peach, to orange, to yellow, to pale yellow. There’s nothing I miss more than growing up and heading out to the barn at 4:30am and watching, smelling, and feeling the sunrise. Each new day is beautiful and one more opportunity to live and love others.

5. When you were little, what did you dream about being?
An obstetrician. Then a nun…and ended up going to college to be a news anchor. After getting degrees in landscaping, biology, and nursing; I’ve found my passion is all of these dreams in one – educating others about saving our future generations and world from ourselves. Having this baby business is giving a sense of purpose I have not known – helping others in more ways than just praying for them, helping them eat or walk, or making them appreciate the outdoors. This new role has made me feel like I can provide for families and babies, while being a voice for future generations.

6. If you could only say 2 things to you children, one sweet and one wisdom, what would they be?
Sweet: Smile and breathe deeply every morning when you wake up; you will be a change in the world. Wise: Be thankful.

Retailer Chat Tuesday: Tender Loving Cloth Diapers

Q&A With  Tiny Tush retailer Tender Loving Cloth Diapers

Q&A With Tiny Tush retailer Tender Loving Cloth Diapers

1. What is the name of your store and how long have you been in business?
Tender Loving Cloth Diapers LLC (www.tlcdiapers.com) and I’ve been in business since February 2009.

2. How did you choose the name of your store?
I was trying to think of something that would describe how great cloth diapers can be for baby. Tender Loving Cloth just seemed right to me when thinking of a soft cloth diaper on a cute baby bum!

3. Why did you decide to carry Tiny Tush products?
I actually had a customer specifically ask for me to check out Tiny Tush products. I tried them and really liked them myself, so I decided to carry them too!

4. If you were a Tiny Tush Elite 1.1 diaper, what color would you be and why?
Probably periwinkle. Purple is my favorite color, and the color of my daughter’s room!

5. When you were little, what did you dream about being?
At first I really wanted to be a pilot, but then I realized I would be gone from my family all of the time. Now I can stay at home all the time with my children, yet still have a business too.

6. If you could only say 2 things to you children, one sweet and one wisdom, what would they be?
I’d love for them to know that they have been cherished since the moment Mommy and Daddy knew they were in Mommy’s belly, and that we want them to know that they can achieve whatever they set their mind to doing. We are truly blessed by their presence in our lives.

Tiny Tush Retailer Meet & Greet: RG Natural Babies

Q&A with a Tiny Tush Retailer RG Natural Babies

See an exclusive coupon code below!

Q&A with a Tiny Tush Retailer RG Natural Babies

1. What is the name of your store and how long have you been in business?
RG Natural Babies – started online in April 2008 and our B&M at 430 Main St, Racine, WI opened in May 2010

2. How did you choose the name of your store and, if applicable, your B&M location?
There were several names I put on a list. When I checked for websites/domains, I found a lot of them were already being used. I got opinions on the remainder and we went with RG Natural Babies. We wanted it to have Natural in it and put that the focus was on Babies. We though of doing RG Natural Diapers, but I knew eventually I would have a lot more than diaper products, so we kept “Babies.” The RG stands for “Rachel Grace” my first (and currently only) daughter. It was very important to include her because we wouldn’t have the store without her!

As far as the location of our store, that was a long process. It took a lot of prayer and discernment to know exactly where God wanted us. We felt led to go to the downtown area of Racine, but knew there were a lot of risks with it. We looked at pretty much every building that was available for rent or purchase starting in June 2009 and our search ended in Feb 2010 when we knew we had to make a choice and the building I really wanted was no longer available to us (that is a long story in itself in which the building is owned by Kimberly Clark and they decided they would not rent to us because they saw us as competition). And I am grateful to where we are at. It’s a beautiful space that has allowed us room to grow and though it’s more than we felt comfortable renting-wise, we know it’s where God wanted us to be and he will continue to make things work out in his plan! 🙂

3. Why did you decide to carry Tiny Tush products?
My friend Kristin, owner of My Baby Pumpkin, actually introduced me to the Tiny Tush diapers. I had never heard of them and she told me about them and how they were located in Wisconsin! She had me sold at that! I love that we can support another local Wisconsin business and they because one of my favorite diapers! I’ve really enjoyed working with Charlene and local customers love that they are locally made!

4. If you were a Tiny Tush Elite 1.1 diaper, what color would you be and why?
Ocean, because I just love that color so much!

5. When you were little, what did you dream about being?
When I was a little girl, I dreamed about being so many things. A dancer, an actress, a singer, a teacher… to name a few. I always wanted to be a mom and am now blessed with 2 children that I get to dance with, sing to, and teach 🙂 Never in my faintest memories did I ever dream about owning my own business, yet here I am!

6. If you could only say 2 things to you children, one sweet and one wisdom, what would they be?
Wow, this is a deep question.
To Rachel Grace: “God has created you to be such a beautiful girl with strength in leadership. Remember that your beauty on the inside is what matters most. Put others first and you will be blessed. I will always be proud of you.”
To Noah: “God has created you with such great gifting in music and discernment. I pray you will use both to his glory. I am proud of you, son.”
So that may have been a bit more than one summed up – it’s hard to express everything. I always want my kids, no matter what, to know that I am proud of them. It is important to me that they never question that or the love I have for them

Tiny Tush Retailer Meet & Greet: All Things Diapers

Q&A with a Tiny Tush Retailer All Things Diapers

See an exclusive coupon code below!

This week we are pleased to introduce you to Patti and Martin, owners of All Things Diapers!

This week we are pleased to introduce you to Patti and Martin, owners of All Things Diapers!1. What is the name of your store and how long have you been in business?
We have both a Cloth Diaper Service and Brick & Mortar Cloth Diaper Store and they are both called All Things Diapers.

2. How did you choose the name of your store and (if you have a brick&mortar store) how did you choose the location?
We chose a couple of names we liked, and then did a search to see if anyone was already using them. We liked the name All Things Diapers because we think it conveys that we would deliver/sell anything people wanted that has to do with diapering! We chose the location for our store as we live in the Northern Suburbs of Minneapolis/St Paul and there was not any stores/services serving that area of the Twin Cities.

3. Why did you decide to carry Tiny Tush products?
We want to work with, sell and promote as many local and U.S. products as possible. And what better than working with our neighbors from Wisconsin!

4. If you were a Tiny Tush Elite 1.1 diaper, what color would you be and why?
Patti – I would be Ocean as that color blue has always been one of my favorites!
Martin – I would be Ocean as well, but because it is our company color.

5. When you were little, what did you dream about being?
Patti – I went to a Catholic school, so, for a couple of years I wanted to be like the wonderful Nuns that were my teachers. Then I realized Nuns could not have children and changed my mind! I am an RN and have wanted to be a nurse who works with babies since I was in about the 3rd grade.
Martin – I always wanted to serve in the British Army (I am from England) and briefly had the privilege to do so.

6. If you could only say 2 things to you children, one sweet and one wisdom, what would they be?
Patti – I would tell them, as I do everyday, that they are wonderful people and I love them more than anything else in the world. For wisdom, I would tell them to always tell the truth and treat others kindly.
Martin – I would tell them I love them very much and for wisdom would say to make sure they always try their hardest and don’t be afraid to try new things and take risks.
